Meet Pastor Selvin Stewart
His Story, God’s Glory

Pastor Selvin Sylvester Stewart was born and raised in the vibrant community of Trench Town in Kingston, Jamaica—what he fondly calls the “University of Hard Knocks for Character Development.” It was there that resilience, faith, and purpose were shaped in him from an early age. He was a devoted member and elder at the Trench Town Seventh-day Adventist Church and, at just 12 years old, became the first in his entire family to accept the Seventh-day Adventist faith.
For twenty-five years, Pastor Stewart faithfully served as an educator, shaping young minds and investing in the next generation. Yet God had greater plans. In divine providence, doors closed that led to toxic environments, and he was redirected into his true calling. With courage and deep faith—despite uncertainty—he resigned from his teaching career and enrolled at Northern Caribbean University to pursue pastoral ministry.
He later graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Religion and Theology with a Pastoral Emphasis, fully embracing the call God placed on his life.
Pastor Stewart is the joyful husband of Teisha King-Stewart for twenty-six years, a proud father of four, and a grateful grandfather of three. His life stands as a testimony to grace and transformation. In his own words,
“Mercy re-wrote my story.”
Today, that mercy has positioned him to serve as Pastor of the Norwalk and Omega Seventh-day Adventist Churches in the Northeastern Conference.
His personal philosophy is captured in this heartfelt aspiration:
“For God to boast about Selvin, the way He boasted about the man called Job.”
He is continually inspired by the reminder:
“I didn’t come this far to come this far.”
Please keep a prayer in your heart as Pastor “Triple S” rises to deliver a word of encouragement from the Lord.
